Jeanne Cairns Sinquefield was appointed to the Board of Curator °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± System by Governor Michael Parson in 2023.
Sinquefield retired as Executive Vice President and Head of Trading Dimensional Fund Advisors (1982-2005). Sinquefield was formerly on the faculty of the University of Chicago and the University of Indonesia (72-77), Research Director US Congress Select Committee on Population 1978, and designed the first Options on Futures Contracts for Chicago Board of Trade (1980-1982).
Since retiring, Sinquefield founded the Missouri New Music Initiative (2005-present), was Chairman of the Commission to Review the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø¿ª½± System (2016), and was on the State of Missouri Bicentennial Commission (2020-21), as well as Missouri 100.
Sinquefield is active in two BSA Councils (1986-present), earning two Silver Beavers. Sinquefield was inducted into the US Chess Hall of Fame (2022), and is President of the Foundation for Neurofeedback and Neuroscience (2000-present). Sinquefield's interests include inventing (1 patent), economic, philanthropy, and geospatial.
Sinquefield has three children who all went to MU, and four grandchildren.
